Biografie Avon
Music is a feeling. After spending my teenage years looking for a way to bring that feeling across to the world, I finially realised what my contribution would be; becoming a DJ.
In 2007, after having tried different facettes and varieties of music I found myself listening to Sneakerz house music.
I realised that house music suited my purpose. Within weeks I installed the first decks in my bedroom and the creative process of mixing and creating funky beats began.
Only 9 months after having started I won the DJ contest of Kunstbende 2009 in Overijssel. I became 4th in the National finals. In 2010, competing at Kunstbende Amsterdam I became first again. Apart from kunstbende I played in several clubs and festivals across the country including Manhattan Arnhem.
Meanwhile, I have been busy creating my own sound, getting a personal fingerprint on the music. My style has evolved to a mix of tech house with a funky latin flavour. Style and performance are for me the most important ways of differentiating myself from the entire crowd of young DJ’s who are all waiting for their chances. Music is a feeling, and it is that energetic feeling that I want to get across to the crowd.
