Danny Sapulete (1980), a.k.a. DJ DANSA, has his origin from the molukken. He is born in Breda, the Netherlands. He grew up in a family that provided him with soul and funk. At a young age he started taking pianolessons, but didn´t find satisfaction in that, untill one day his brother started taking him to local clubs and introduced him to the nightlife and it´s housemusic. Looking at the DJ´s he got so inspired that immediately he got himself his own turntables.
He started spinning records of all kinds of music that was house related. The main things in Dansa´s music are the soul and funk influences. He started playing at parties of friends, he got better and got himself on the playlists of bigger parties. At age 17 he allready played with dj Jean, Miss Monica, Michel de Hey, Tiesto, Cor fijneman, Erick E, Montana and more.
After this quick and hectic period he slowed things downfor a while. He did this to concentrate and get to know the music he wanted to play. This way he created his own Dansa sound. This was also the reason he got more and more gigs. Quite a big achievement for a dj from Breda, a town dominated by trance music.
Dansa did all kinds of bookings, from high schools to clothing stores and even weddings. But the biggest thing was winning the 1st price at a DJ Contest at the "Beurs van Berlage" in Amsterdam. It got him national fame and even international bookings. Dansa is producing his own music since two years now and also loves to set up big parties like "FLAIR" and "WHAT THE FUNK".
