Biografie Juan Sanchez
Dedication, passion, and natural born skills have established Juan Sanchez as a sovereign tastemaker within the international electronic music community. Together with a sound that is best described as a sophisticated blend of nasty jacking house and techno mutations packed with twists and turns to assure complete floor annihilation, it is this refined musical vision that have made him one of the most sought after artists in his genre and a preferred pick for numerous dance promoters across the globe.
On the DJ tip, Juan has graced peak time spots at the world's most prestigious clubs and festivals. Taking the definition 'back by dope demand' to a new dimension, Juan returned to Brazil last January for an extensive tour including gigs at the world renowned D-Edge club in Sao Paolo, whilst also having established himself as a regular at Ibiza's acclaimed Blue Marlin venue. Next to his international shindigs, Juan maintains one of the Netherland's most in demand DJs with peak time spots at some of the nation's best dance events such as Welcome to the Future and Awakenings Festival, as well as Sensation this July at which he will be playing alongside his brother Daniel. Prior to this gig, the duo will release a dedicated Sensation EP on the lauded Bla Bla label.
In between his heavy DJ roster, Juan can also be found rocking the studio which already lead to a vast array of bombs on labels such as, Kling Klong, Break New Soil, Bla Bla and Wolfskuil Records amongst others. His thick slices of dynamic house and techno mutations continue to receive critical acclaim from names such as Dubfire, Josh Wink, Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier, Karotte, Timo Maas, and Joris Voorn.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg: Juan doesn't limit himself to just DJing and music production. As the founder of one of Amsterdam's leading club nights, FORMAT, Juan is responsible for packed and utterly wild stints headlined by such names as Andre Galluzzi, Guido Schneider, Alex Under, Carlo Lio, Slam, Gaiser, and Len Faki. The international appeal of the concept has already lead to a successful edition in the world's epicenter of all things dance, Berlin, and 2011 will see the Format nights taking place in other European cities as well. This summer even sees Juan taking things outdoor in the form of a dedicated FORMAT area at the brand new Open AIR festival in Amsterdam next June...
Whereas other DJs would sign on the spot for just a tenth of his achievements, Juan has only just begun. so, keep your eyes peeled, 'cause there's much more hotness in the pipeline!
