Biography Bobina
The Bobina project was founded in Moscow in 2003. The debut album "Catchy" detonated the trance stage in 2004 and became the best selling trance album in Russia. The first official European Bobinas release "Lazy World" had become the visit card of the project at the international dancing stage. European critics were delighted with the track. The track appeared in the playlists of such famous DJs as Ti?sto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Matt Hardwick, Above & Beyond, and many others.
In a recent interview to the leading Russian internet-portal dj.ru, Paul van Dyk declarated that he is a great admirer of the Bobinas work.
In Europe the project Bobina is famous not only by his own music, but also by many remixes of different artists (Armin van Buuren, Rank 1, Members of Mayday, Three Drives, Solarstone, The Thrillseekers, Supermode and the others). The Bobina remake of the track by Three Drives «Air Traffic» has got the place in the UK Top 40 Dance chart on BBC Radio 1.
Ferry Corsten: "All the productions I hear of this man are solid, very well produced and have a great response from the crowd whenever I play them in my set.". In September 2005 DJ MAG (UK) gave 5 out of 5 for the single "September Rain" that was made by the leading British label Newstate Music! Such a high mark is a great rarety for DJ MAG to give. "September Rain" is the first Russian trance single since "ResuRection" by PPK awarded such a high mark from western music critics.
In Russia "September Rain" was broadcasted by more than 50 radio stations, as well as being put on the air of many leading European broadcasting stations such as Ministry of Sound (UK) and Kiss FM (UK). The tracks been played out at many dance floors around the world, having got the support of Ti?sto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules and the others. Now Bobina is by far the most famous Russian trance project in the international music scene. Visiting Moscow Paul Oakenfold expressed his wishes to meet Dmitry and appreciated his creative work at its true value.
At the end of April 2006 "Beautiful Friend", the second album by Bobina, will be launched to the music market. The title track for the album had its video aired on MTV UK/Russia as well as other Russian and European music channels. The video clip shooting took place in Manchester (Great Britain); produced by Matt Howarth, a well respected and talented producer whos well known for his famous video "Men In Black" by Will Smith. This video includes many top dancers, who have worked with Madonna & Kylie Minogue.
Dmitry is an artist whos worked very hard the past two years in the studio to achieve all this entirely under his own steam, but the hard work has paid off with this new album, an album featuring some of his finest remixes of other big name artists.
